 December 2005 - February 2006
MB E has been extremely busy during this quarter. Part of our accomplishments included final preparations for the Asset Mapping that will occur up until early April 2006 in Canupawakpa. Our organization has been working directly with Function Four and CIM-Net to prepare for this exciting benchmarking activity.
In addition, MB E has completed two Interactive CD-ROM’s (iCD’s) that are being used by members in Sioux Valley and Canupawakpa. These unique tools and resources have been developed in order to encourage and enable people to use technology in these communities. We believe that this type of training that can be used at home will complement the other training (face-to-face delivery and virtual delivery) that is occurring in these two communities.
Catherine Brown, the Project Coordinator for Canupawakpa Dakota Nation has been delivering training workshops in the evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays. Through a partnership with Microsoft Canada, MB E-Association was able to provide Microsoft Curriculum for Catherine to provide to these learners. This curriculum has been an instant hit in these communities and we are hoping that the communities will increase the number of learners in 2006.
