 March 2008 - May 2008
The team continued to work extensively on providing training tools and other resources during this quarter. The outcome included CD training tools and virtual workshops. Our team also has been working diligently on final and evaluation reports for the end of our project.
MB E-Association worked with the MB Aboriginal Business Service Network (MB ABSN) and Yellowquill College in order to provide virtual workshop sessions into the Canupawakpa Adult Education Centre. The session delivered through the MB ABSN, who are located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, discussed entrepreneurship for students potentially interested in starting their own business. The Yellowquill College, who are located in Poratge la Prairie, session discussed an overview of the Yellowquill College; how it started and to provide an overview of training opportunities currently available for aboriginal students. The Yellowquill College is Manitoba’s first Indian-controlled post-secondary institution. The College is a centre of excellence in education and training, preparing adults for the critical demands of the 21st century and beyond.
The CDN community website went “live” in early March 2008. Our team is working directly with the CDN Education department, Adult Education Centre and other community service organizations in order to identify key people that will assist with expanding and maintaining the new website. This is still being worked on and we hope to provide training within the next couple of months. The CDN website can be seen by visiting http://cdnation.cimnet.ca/cim/307.dhtm on the world wide web.
MB E has also worked extensively during this period on the Interactive Compact Disks (iCD’s). The following modules were completed this quarter:
o Photoshop Elements o Adobe Premiere Elements o Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 (Expansion)
